Overview
I write HIGHLY customized and effective music arrangements that are catered to the curriculum needs of each client and program. As an educator at heart and with teaching experience at all levels (middle school through DCI), I believe that kids should always be at the forefront of the decision-making. Putting kids in a place where they can succeed is always my top goal. My teaching experience in public schools, and with the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps, has given me a unique perspective on creating effective arrangements.
Work Experience
I have 10 years of teaching experience at all levels (middle school, high school, and DCI). I am a member of the Bluecoats Brass Staff and have written for BOA Regional Finalist Groups and Texas UIL Area Finalist Groups. My arrangements and compositions have been played by the University of Houston.
Education
Bachelor’s in Music Education with emphasis in Wind Instruments, University of Houston (U of H); Master’s in Music Education, Southern Methodist University. Note: While at U of H, I was also in the Music Composition Studio studying under Dr. Marcus Maroney and Dr. Rob Smith.
