Overview
I am a marching percussion specialist based in Southern California with more than 20 years of experience teaching, writing, and designing for marching percussion groups at the highest levels of the activity. I am a Vic Firth Education Artist, a Remo Education Artist, and a Zildjian Artist.
My performing career began as a snare drummer with the Velvet Knights, followed by the Concord Blue Devils and the Cadets of Bergen County. That foundation has informed my teaching and design work across drum corps, indoor percussion, and scholastic programs throughout the United States, Japan, and Taiwan.
As caption head and show designer for the Orange County Independent WGI ensemble, my team earned a Bronze Medal in Independent Open Class at the 2012 WGI World Championships and a Silver Medal the following year. I have also served as percussion caption head and arranger for the Troopers and the Yamato Drum & Bugle Corps, and as a snare instructor for the four-time World Champion Riverside Community College Indoor Drumline.
I currently teach and adjudicate percussion throughout Southern California.
