Overview
I am a drill designer and percussion educator, and the founder of Marching Feat. My path to design grew naturally from years of teaching drumline — I started by fixing drill on the fly, then writing drum features, then moving into full band visual design, show concept, and form creation. Now I bring that same hands-on, educator-first perspective to every show I design.
My approach is grounded in score analysis and staging clarity. I focus on the students who have to implement the work, aiming for drill that is logical, smooth to apply, and genuinely engaging for the performers — including the percussion section.
My current design work includes Orem High School, Mountain View High School, and Timpanogos High School in Utah. My instructional background includes serving as Percussion Director at Timpanogos High School from 2020 to 2024 and at McMillen High School in Plano, Texas. In 2021, I served as Visual Designer and Co-Director for the Provo High Indoor Drumline, which earned second place at the IMPA State Championships.
