Brandon Smith

I am a wind arranger and composer based in Southern California, working with marching programs across the country through Brandon Smith Music. Since establishing windarranger.com in 2001, I have designed more than 250 shows performed by ensembles at the highest local, regional, and national levels, earning area, state, and world championship titles.

My approach is rooted in twelve years of experience as a high school band director. I believe that great music education extends beyond performance — it develops the life skills and habits that students carry into their futures.

From 2006 to 2018, I taught band in the North Texas metroplex at Prosper, Haltom, and Southwest high schools. At Southwest, the program earned UIL State 5A Marching Band Finalist honors, BOA Regional and Super Regional Class Championships, and a featured performance at the 2015 Midwest Clinic. As Percussion Coordinator at Haltom, the percussion ensemble was selected as a featured performing ensemble at the 2012 Midwest Clinic.

I maintain an active schedule as a clinician, consultant, adjudicator, performer, and conductor throughout the United States. Professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, the Texas Bandmasters Association, and ASCAP.
